Works perfect for xbox one storage, just plug it in and follow the prompts... No PC needed
The software that comes with the drive isn't any good. I finally had to just format the drive to get it to work. I added files to the drive, & after a few days I couldn't, access them. I formatted the drive a second time now I just use it as a swap drive
I have five each WD 5TB USB3 powered HDD is a proven product to me. I recommend a 7 port USB3 Hub that allows for external USB C power supply to boost current requirement.
